"TECHNIQUES AND SKILLS ARE IMPORTANT, BUT GOOD GROOVE IS THE MAIN INGREDIENT. MUSIC DOES NOT SEPARATE US, IT UNITES US."

From funk, jazz, RnB, to pop and alternative music, Leo Budirahardjo brings out the real essence of music.

Leo Budirahardjo is a talented bass player from Indonesia. With years of experience on playing bass, he has played with many local bands and artists around Los Angeles area, including touring and recording. His only reason in pursuing music as his career is the passion and the love of the music itself. Coming from a non-musical family did not turn him down on pursuing his dream. In fact, he studied bass by himself without any academic references. Until recently, he has played in many different venues and music festivals, particularly jazz festivals such as, Inland Empire Jazz Festival and Temecula Jazz Festival, opening for today’s hottest smooth jazz artists such as Peter White, Richard Elliot, Brian Simpson, Gerald Albright, Frank McComb, Jeff Golub, and much more. One of his past gigs was playing for Destination 7, which had toured in many different cities and states for various music festivals such as Spirit West Coast, Rock of Ages, and Ichtus Festival, with attendees of ten thousand people.

As of today, he has played with a few different artists such as Connie Lim, Anduze, Mateo, Mark Ballas, and the most recent one, Gavin Turek. He is also involved in a band called NYCO who’s just released their new EP “Future Imperfect.” Leo also plays regularly at Oasis Church in Hollywood with attendee of three thousand people every week.

As a session player, he is really open for variety of music genres and styles, because every single genre brings different values and excitement.
